First and foremost, Happy 21st Birthday Guys!!
Went to Vivocity in the evening to Thai Accent for their dinner treat. It's really good to see familiar faces around, even though we just met last month, although I was more of a listener than an active contributor. Had a hearty dinner with 5 other guys as we shared dishes instead of ordering them separately. It was initially a 5 men team but we realised that we ordered too much and was lucky to find yiwei who hadn't ordered his food yet. So with 6 men, our cost per pax was lowered and I really hoped that it fitted colin's and ms's budget. lol.
Anyway, it was funny how the guys were the earliest or rather the relatively more punctual gender, and the girls were grossly late. So the dinner became a staggered event where the guys had their dinner and left to shop around, while the girls who came late continued to having theirs at the restaurant.
The post dinner activity for guys was simply shop shop shop, from clothings all the way till Giant, where we ended up discussing and smelling various hair product, courtesy of Xinzi who wanted to get some hair gel for his nice hair. Hahahaha
Soon, all of us rendezvous and started to queue for taxis to head to Sentosa resort. Despite the downpour, I wanted to walk to Sentosa via the Sentosa boardwalk but i decided to keep my mouth shut after I found the desire waning in everyone else T_T Why no one appreciate the opening of such an interesting addition to the boring Singapore we live in luh...
So, the cab brought us to the resort, which I never knew existed. The resort was surrounded by much greenery and water bodies, which immediately created a relaxing atmosphere. I like how the resort was open aired and not air conditioned because the coolness in the air could be felt throughout our journey to the hotel suite. It was a pity that we came in at around 9 pm, where it was pitched dark all around the greenery so you can't really see clearly of all the flora and fauna that were littered around this resort that felt increasingly like a retreat for me.
The suite was really big with 2 master bed rooms and a living room, which really amazed many, if not all of us with the luxurious furnishing and bedroom paraphernalia. There was the Nepresso coffee making machine and its capsules, TWG teas, B&O sound system and many more. Oh and the bed was damn awesome, ultra comfortable hahaha. Wished I had all of these comforts at home though. That would seriously make me stay at home more often cause they will be too hard to resist. lol.
The cake was revealed without much fanfare, although the smell that wafted through the air heightened up my senses immediately. Sad to say, the delicious looking birthday cake was made of durian, which yours truly, don't really like. So, during the cake cutting and eating, I was "confined" to the far corner of the suite, desperately getting myself away from the smell that inundated the suite. I guessed this is what they say where one man's medicine is the other's poison.
Then it was just monopoly deals, citadels and some talking, with people leaving at various intervals. It was only at 2 plus am, where the surviving few of us came together at the living room, thinking of what to do. There and then, we drank vodka mixed with other stuff ( mine was mixed with pink 7up and it tasted like medicine) and we played 10 men-2 monopoly decks monopoly deal ( where each turn lasted 5 mins),猜拳 and heart attack that were mixed with dares. We had a really enjoyable time making people pop the balloons using various body parts and also to inflate it to the point of no return. Footages are in my iPhone!
Then, more people were knocked out and the remaining few of us, Jobina, Colin and me, who were lated joined by Wenjian had heart to heart talks haha, speaking of our relationships with other people (there were some guys lying around but I can't be really sure if they were actually listening). Anyway this phrase came to my mind: 曾几何时，说心事的对象成为了你的心事。Quite ironic aye.By the time we were done with the sharing, it was already close to 8 am and we left for home after probably an hour of shut eye.
All in all, it was really enjoyable and was glad to be in good company =)
