Starring.. Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz
A typical Hollywood combination that would usually spell boring and cliche, where the male lead is the hero aka rambo and the female is the dumb blonde that swoons over him.
Yet, I found myself enjoying the show soon after the start, marveling at the intensity of the action, the astounding physical strength and agility of tom cruise who is 48 years old and simply at cameron diaz, whose acting was fabulous. She was at one moment a girl going gaga over a handsome guy, panicking when they were being attacked and yet, at another moment, providing the crucial helping hand to avert the both of them away from trouble, sometimes being the dominant character that forces the male lead to be a follower.
I especially enjoyed the part when one of them will be drugged and the audience gets to see fragments of their memories as he/she zones in and out of consciousness. A particularly entertaining one is when cameron diaz was drugged and tom cruise was seen to be first on a plane that is being attacked with her, then on a boat and finally on an island. It really makes one wonder just how resourceful and professional tom cruize's character is, able to navigate them out of dangers after dangers with the cameron diaz always waking up in a cosy setting, unaware of all the dangerous situations that she had gone through.
